Marion City Schools

Transportation Services

Welcome to the Marion City School District's transportation department.
We transport about 2,000 students to and from school each day. Our supervisor, Jason Heilman, our secretary, Jennifer Fosnaugh, and the full-time and substitute bus drivers and bus aides take our work in transporting our students and ensuring their safety very seriously.
Each year, our drivers must attend five credit hours of in-service to reinforce our safety procedures, driving skills and student interaction. It is our top priority to make sure our district's students arrive safely and in a timely manner to school and home again.
Our staff realizes this job can't be done by our department alone. Support is needed from the administration, our co-workers, and most important our parents and guardians to make sure each year is a successful one. We encourage families to be involved in the education process of their children and that includes the transportation of the students. It is helpful for parents to remind their children that it's important to obey all rules on the bus just like they need to in school.
We want to thank you for your continued support of our district and our children. Our goal for the Marion City School District is to inspire a community of achievement. Your support empowers us to do so.

Transportation Policy
