The Marion City Board of Education held its annual organizational meeting on January 7, 2019. Ted McKinniss was elected as President of the School Board and Leslie Schneider was elected Vice-President.
Congratulations to the winners of the 2019 Peace and Freedom Contest sponsored by the Peace and Freedom Committee. The winners will be honored at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Peace and Freedom Breakfast in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. Jan. 21 in the Albert and Ingrid May Pavilion at the Marion Palace Theatre. The awards program will follow the breakfast with Stan Jefferson as guest speaker.
