Paid Work Experience
Paid Work Experience supports students as they gain first hand work experience and increases fundamental skills essential to obtaining and maintain employment while also working toward earning their high school diploma. The program is an extension of Rushmore Academy where students will be exposed to the expectations of local employers and have job coaches, resources and support systems at their disposal to develop resumes, cover letters, learn interview processes, and acquire acceptable habits for sustained employment and growth.
BE PREPARED FOR THE FUTURE
This program will provide students with the opportunity to acclimate from workforce development with adult and mentor support into an independent workforce placement fitting to their skillset and interests. It will create foundational community supports, relationships with local businesses and agencies that the students can call upon in the future.
THROUGH THESE PARTNERSHIPS WE WILL:
Strive to create opportunities to engage students in community service projects that will increase their social capital throughout the community.
Support the student physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally, by providing services and community resources to encourage stability and future success.
Ensure each student receives a diploma plus the skills or credentials necessary to pursue further education, a trade, the military, or be employed at a sustainable wage.
