Marion City Schools’ Student Services Department directs the development, implementation and operation of educational programs and services that meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. The department coordinates early childhood, elementary, secondary, career and transition programs and services.
Our staff is committed to serving students and their families in the areas of:
- Academic interventions
- Special education
- Early childhood education
- Related services such as speech and language therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, transportation, and psychological services.
We also make support available through our school counselors, nurses, social services, home instruction and alternative educational opportunities.
The Ohio Department of Education is a party to a class action court case, Doe v. Ohio Department of Education. As part of a proposed settlement of the case, the Ohio Department of Education has requested that every school district in Ohio disseminate the following notice. The Marion City School District is not a party to this case.
